The Ho West District Assembly held its Third Meeting of the Fourth Session of the Third Assembly on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at the District Assembly Hall, Dzolokpuita.
The Presiding Member, Hon. Rita Semanu Eglegbe, welcomed everyone to the meeting and led the house in observing a minute of silence for the demise of Hon. Bismark Kamassah, Assembly Member for Dededo Electoral Area.
In her address, the Hon. Presiding Member admonished Assembly Members who will be contesting in the District Level Election on December 19, 2023, to work hard to retain their seats in their respective Electoral areas.
The house read, corrected, discussed, and adopted the minutes as true reflection of what transpired in their previous meeting.
The District Chief Executive, Hon. Ernest Victor Apau, presented the Sessional Address and the Executive Committee’s Report (EXECO) to the house. His address covered issues of Education, Health, Development projects, Sanitation, Agriculture, Health, Roads among others.
The house also approved the 2024 Annual Action Plan, Budget Estimates, Fee Fixing Resolution and Revenue Improvement Action Plan.
The Hon. District Chief Executive took the opportunity to educate members on HIV/AIDS issues/prevention and encouraged Members to join his HIV/AIDS Ambassadors Platform, a strategy adopted to improve and scale up HIV/AIDS educational campaign at all levels in the district.
Present at the meeting were the Hon. District Chief Executive, Hon. Presiding Member, Hon. Assembly Members, Security Agencies, Heads of Department/Units/Sections and staff of the Assembly.
